Career Development
‘I joined Avery & Co in January 2016 as an AssocRICS-qualified residential surveyor and valuer, however still very early in my career and development. From the outset, working alongside colleagues and management with such a depth of knowledge proved invaluable to my professional development. I have been extremely fortunate to learn from the best, with the company providing the guidance, support and tools needed to progress and develop my knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities
As well as my ongoing development as a surveyor and valuer, during my time at Avery, I have been given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including the role of Risk and Compliance Manager, and broaden my experience across a wide range of work, most recently acting as an Expert Witness. In 2023, I successfully passed my APC and became a Chartered Surveyor while at the company, achieving this alongside two colleagues, where we were able to encourage and support one another throughout the process. The three of us who became Chartered are currently supporting a more recent colleague on their own journey towards chartership.
