Why do I need a Survey?

If you are buying property across the North West or North Wales, then a RICS Survey is a must. It will protect your biggest investment and give you peace of mind before you commit to a purchase. The RICs Homebuyer Survey and Valuation is the most popular type of survey we do and is suitable for most property types.

It will:

  1. Help you to make an informed decision on whether to proceed with the purchase
  2. Advise you if the price you are paying is reasonable (HomeBuyer Report and Valuation Only)
  3. Highlight potential repairs or defects.
  4. Provide advice on future maintenance.
  5. Provide advice on potential hazards or risks.
  6. Provide you with matters to be checked by your conveyancer.
  7. Give you peace of mind.

Did you know?

  1. Having an independent survey by a qualified RICS Surveyor could save you thousands of pounds?
  2. There is an option to have a valuation included with your survey. This will cost a little more but will help you decide whether the price you are paying is reasonable.
  3. If you have applied for a mortgage, the mortgage valuation is not a survey and is only for the benefit of your lender. It will tell you little or nothing about the condition of your new home.
